The U.S. Embassy Youth Forum is a dialogue between Koreans and Americans to understand one another’s cultures, values, and politics by pairing some of Korea’s brightest youth with American guest speakers.  Each month the forum selects 4-5 young Koreans from a pool of 25 regular participants to discuss how each nation handles issues such as democratic elections, environmental policy, and many other topics. The forums are conducted in English and organized by the students themselves working in tandem with the United States Embassy’s Public Affairs Section. Biographic Sketch of Mr. Gregory S. Burton

Mr. Burton is the Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Republic of Korea.  In June of 2008 Mr. Burton graduated with an M.S. in National Security from the National War College at Fort McNair in Washington, D.C.  He also served from August 2006 until July 2007 as the American representative with the Canadian-led Provincial Reconstruction Team in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
